Through The Viewfinder

mixed media photography

Through the Viewfinder is a series of analouge silver gelatin black and white darkroom prints that have been altered with ink in order to create the cartoon-ish style that the prints are known for today. I print each image by hand and illustrate directly on top of the print before scanning in the final image in order to have a digital copy. Drawing from its namesake Through the Looking Glass, Through the Viewfinder draws attention to the duality of the world when it is perceived through a different lens.
